The town of Beaufort West is ideally situated on the N1 highway, en-route to Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Often weary travellers or holidaymakers choose this town as the ideal stop over in their journey. Beaufort Manor offers an oasis of comfort to all discerning travellers. In the Main building, beyond the reception area, dining room and sitting rooms with their genteel air, Beaufort Manor offers designer rooms with en-suite bathrooms that epitomizes elegance and luxury and for those travelers preferring some privacy there are self-catering cottages situated in the tranquil gardens overlooking the duck sanctuary.

Enjoy tasteful Karoo dinners, by candlelight, either in our dining room or under the brilliant stars during summer months. Choose a bottle of wine to accompany your three course meal, served by our friendly staff. Bookings essential prior to check in. Guests can expect dishes such as our famous leg of lamb, home-made chicken pie, bobotie, and organic vegetables straight from our Garden. On week days a buffet is prepared daily and week ends guest have a choice from our a la carte menu. Please book to avoid disappointment. We have a booking for the 27th April at Beaufort Country Manor, rated as a 4 star. We would like to request that the rating and recommendation be revised as the accommodation is a maximum of 3 stars. The general external premises are acceptably maintained, but the service, facilities in the room and general cleanliness of bathroom and maintenance of room furniture does not lend itself to a 4 star at all.

"Great room, expensive food."

The room itself was very nice indeed. However, dinner was slow and expensive. The ad on this place said breakfast was included but we were made to pay for a very poor continental breakfast. And the we had to wait at least five minutes at the security gate before we could continue the journey.

"Great beyond expectation!"

The self-catering unit we stayed in was beautiful, with the most delightful little garden in front where we sat and relaxed after 12 hours on the road. The staff were very helpful and also served us dinner in the unit and the plates of food were so much we could have almost shared 2 plates instead of 4 individual plates. I will definitely use the place again in the future. From the moment you drive into the gate it feels like you are definitely no longer in the hot Karoo. The place is beautiful with the most beautiful gardens.

It was wonderful to receive such a friendly welcome on a cold night in Beaufort West. Our room was very stylish and neatly equipped. The en-suite bathroom was spotlessly clean. The option to order dinner after a long drive was very welcome. And the meal was tasty.

The Country House stands out in the area. Very stylish inside. Unfortunately couldn't experience the restaurant as we had to eat in the room. Very well treated, however, they brought in a dinner table especially for us and the children.

"The place was comfortable."

All problem that was there ─ we were tired from driving, wanted to rest a bit, and people were allowed to come and take pictures for a wedding. There was no rest at all, and unfortunately the gate was by our bedroom window, so we were aware of every vehicle that went in and out. Everything else was top notch, everything was neat and clean, people were very friendly. I can recommend the place.

Ralph and the beautiful Diana went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Slept well (crisp linen) and ate well (unbeatable country food).

This is a very pleasant place to stay overnight - nice rooms, lovely veranda around the pool for whiling away the afternoon with something cool, and the food is good!

"Nice quiet farm feeling."

Very nice stay here. Nice clean cottage where we could all stay. Kitchen well equipped to make your own meals. Large property so you feel like you are on a farm. Pool area very nice and nice to use. All the staff were always friendly and helpful. Although a bit more expensive than some of the other places it is definitely worth it. Air conditioning was lovely and quiet in cottage.

The guesthouse is beautiful. The interior is good and tasteful. The garden and outbuilding are well maintained and create a loop court despite a very dry world in Beaufort West. The dinner we enjoyed was deliciously prepared and value for money. We didn't want to go to a restaurant at all, everything was already there and excellently presented with a full bar. I would definitely recommend and visit Beaufort Manor Country House again.

We had a great stay. Just 1 point of criticism - there was a group of 25 Belgian tourists and it left the staff a bit overwhelmed with the breakfast. We had to wait a long time and could not always be helped easily.

They were very accommodating and incredibly friendly. We were able to print out our paperwork at reception and they go out of their way to help you with anything. Nice surroundings and clean rooms.

I booked a place for my grandparents at Beaufort Manor and they were incredibly pleased with the beautiful room and delicious food! On top of the normal good service, my grandfather also had a birthday while they were guests at Beaufort Manor. The owner/manager, Diana, went out of her way to make their breakfast extra special for him that morning! He was so surprised! Thank you very much for your effort and positive attitude! It is really appreciated!

The guest house is conveniently located, quiet and the room was beautifully furnished with antiques. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a pleasant cooked meal for dinner, and breakfast had enough variety. Can recommend for a stopover on the way to Cape Town.
